Tottenham agree deal to land Estudiantes defender Juan Foyth as their third signing of the summer window
Argentine Under-20 international joins Davinson Sanchez at Mauricio Pochettino's side after Spurs meet club's valuation
TOTTENHAM have agreed a deal to land Estudiantes defender Juan Foyth as their third signing of the summer.
The Argentine Under-20 international joins Davinson Sanchez and Paulo Gazzaniga at Mauricio Pochettino's side after Spurs met the club's valuation.
Poch and Co had been chasing the youngster all summer but the deal appeared to fall apart after Tottenham failed to meet the club's asking price.
However, with Spurs enduring a sticky start to the Premier League season, Pochettino has splashed the cash to land the highly-rated youngster.
Foyth, 19, was also on the radar of big-spending Paris Saint-Germain during this summer's window.
On the move, Foyth revealed he was thrilled to have the chance at the North London club, saying Poch played a massive role after the pair spoke earlier this window.
The Argentine said: "It's a club that bets on the young and I think I'm going to have a chance to play.
"I also spoke with Mauricio Pochettino and I liked what he said.
"It was what helped me decide that Tottenham was the right place to continue my career.

"He told me to go, train and that I would be involved and would play.
"He also told me what the club was like and what ideas they had."
Foyth has 12 caps for Argentina's Under-20s side - including playing England at this summer's World Cup - while only making seven first-team appearances for Estudiantes.
Tottenham have won one, drawn one and lost one of their three Premier League games so far this season, and are still winless at Wembley after Chris Wood equalised late on for Burnley on Sunday.
