West Brom table £8.6million bid for Fenerbahce’s experienced midfielder Josef de Souza

Brazilian ace is looking forward to more game time - and a much higher profile - in the Premier League

WEST BROM have tabled an £8.6million bid for Fenerbahce midfielder Josef de Souza, according to reports.

The Baggies have scored only two Premier League goals so far, their strong defence playing the main role in both their wins so far.

Boss Tony Pulis is keen to create more chances for his shot-shy attack.

And Globesporte say he sees Brazilian ace Souza, 28, as the man to provide them.

WBA's offer apparently includes a £400,000 loyalty bonus the player is due from the Turkish giants as he enters into his third season with the club.

Sources close to Souza say he is encouraged at the prospect of joining West Brom.

He believes he will achieve - and looks forward to - a higher profile in the Premier League.

Souza previously played for Porto between 2010 and 2012, before returning to Brazilian football with Gremio.
