Everton boss Ronald Koeman agrees £9m fee with Hajduk Split for Croatian winger Nikola Vlasic
Toffees have spent big this summer and could send the teenage attacker straight back out on loan if they complete the deal
EVERTON are close to wrapping up a deal for Hajduk Split star Nikola Vlasic.
The highly rated 19-year-old winger is valued at £9million as the Toffees look to bolster the squad before Thursday’s deadline, according to the Daily Mail.
The Croatia Under-21 attacker could be sent out on loan if the deal goes through.
The teenager impressed both Ronald Koeman and director of football Steve Walsh during their recent Europa League tie with Hajduk.
Vlasic has scored 10 goals in 85 appearances for the Croatian outfit since breaking into the first team three seasons ago.
Split president Ivan Kos hinted to local news outlet Slobonda Dalmacija the club could sell their star teenager.
He said: “The transfer window runs until August 31, sometimes transfers happen a minute before midnight.
“We don't want to lose one per cent of our quality, we also have to think about financial stability."
