There’s no indication as to whether it’s a loan or permanent deal, with Marseille already signing a number of experienced players this summer.

But Rudi Garcia is believed to be offering first-team football for the entire campaign, something which Origi craves as he aims to compete for Belgium at the 2018 World Cup.

Spurs have been strongly linked with a move for the 22-year-old as have a host of other top European sides.

JuventusInter Milan and Bayer Leverkusen are said to be interested, as are Sampdoria, Wolfsburg and Werder Bremen.

Closer to home, Origi could have options in strugglers Newcastle and Crystal Palace.

But he could yet end up at Monaco by the end of the week, with the Telegraph claiming Origi may be used as a makeweight in the potential deal for Thomas Lemar.

Liverpool have seen two bids rejected for the France international in recent days as they look to plug the gap left by Philippe Coutinho’s impending move to Barcelona.

Monaco are believed to be demanding a fee over £90million after being raided for a number of other stars already.

But the option to take Origi either on loan or a permanent deal could help Liverpool pull off a sensational deal late in the window.
