Everton close to completing £8m signing of Hajduk Split winger Nikola Vlasic
It appears despite splashing out over £100m, Toffees boss Ronald Koeman's spending is far from over at Goodison Park
EVERTON are closing in on an £8million deal to bring Hajduk Split winger Nikola Vlasic to Goodison Park.
Toffees boss Ronald Koeman was impressed with the Croatian winger in their Europa League qualifying tie against Split and thinks the 19-year-old could develop into a top player.
And the Liverpool Echo are reporting that the deal is set to be completed before the transfer window slams shut.
The Croatia Under-21 attacker could be sent out on loan if the deal goes through.
The teenager impressed both Ronald Koeman and director of football Steve Walsh during their recent Europa League tie with Hajduk.
Vlasic has scored ten goals in 85 appearances for the Croatian outfit since breaking into the first team three seasons ago.
Split president Ivan Kos hinted to local news outlet Slobonda Dalmacija the club could sell their star teenager.
He said: “The transfer window runs until August 31, sometimes transfers happen a minute before midnight.

“We don’t want to lose one per cent of our quality, we also have to think about financial stability.”
The teenager has already being granted permission to leave the Croatia U21 side as he looks to complete the move.
In a tweet the Croatia Football Federation confirmed Vlasic had on Tuesday asked permission to leave the squad.
They said: "The U-21 national team's coach, Nenad Gracan, accepted the request of Nikola Vlasic and freed him of this representative action."
