ATLETICO MADRID remain locked in talks with Chelsea as they aim to thrash out a deal for Diego Costa.
The English transfer window closed on Thursday night, but the Spanish remains open for an extra 24 hours and striker's representatives are working round the clock to end the saga.

Costa has been AWOL from the Premier League champions for nearly two months.
He was informed via a text message from Blues boss Antonio Conte that he was no longer wanted at Stamford Bridge at the beginning of the close season.
Spain international Costa has remained in his native Brazil as he attempts to force through a move back to his old club Atletico.
Costa, 28, also stated he had been "treated like a criminal" by Chelsea.

But it is a complicated situation for his former employers.
They have been hit with a transfer embargo and are unable to register any new players to play until January.
A number of other clubs have been linked with Costa, but he will only consider a switch back to the capital.
He left Atletico for Chelsea in 2014 for £32m and helped the West London side to win two Premier League titles in his three seasons at the club.
