Diego Costa deletes Instagram profile and goes AWOL with forward no nearer a move away from Chelsea
Chelsea are believed to have been keeping tracks on Costa via his social media accounts, but they're now in the dark
DIEGO COSTA has deleted his Instagram profile plunging Chelsea into the darkness regarding his whereabouts.
SunSport believes the London club kept tabs on Costa's social media accounts throughout the summer after he was banished from Antonio Conte's first-team squad.
But now the Premier League champions have a job on their hands to stay in touch with the Brazilian after he chose to go incognito.
SunSport reported yesterday how it appeared that Costa and Chelsea look to have buried the hatchet after the striker was named in their Premier League squad.
The rebellious Spaniard has been itching for a return to Atletico Madrid after being dumped by Blues boss Antonio Conte over text.
But now this latest action, despite seemingly tedious, could literally further distance player form club.
Costa, 28, is in his hometown of Lagarto in Brazil and is being fined £300,000 for every fortnight of his absence.
Chelsea and Atletico are hopeful a deal can be done to allow the Brazil-born striker to return to Madrid, although the fee is still a big issue.
