ALEXIS SANCHEZ has picked up an ankle injury with Chile after posting cryptic messages on his Instagram.
The forward was on the verge of moving to the Manchester City in a £60million move but Arsenal pulled the plug at the last minute after their failed £92m Thomas Lemar bid.

And that means City will now wait till next summer to revive their interest when Sanchez becomes a free agent.
But things seem to have gone from bad to worse for the Gunners talisman as he has he hobbled out of training with La Roja and needed an ice pack on his ankle.
Sanchez posted: “When the world reminds you of your defeats, remind them of your unforgettable victories.”
“A winner is just a loser who tries more than once.
“What you do matters, but the reason you do it matters much more.
He then added: “You will realise that what today seems like a sacrifice, will end up being the greatest achievement of your life.”

City could go back in for Sanchez in January if they fear another club coming in for him as he can start speaking to foreign clubs in the New Year.
The former Barcelona star is currently with the Chile squad on international duty who lost 3-0 to Paraguay when the transfer window slammed shut on Thursday.
Chile's World Cup hopes now hang in the balance and Sanchez was even criticised for being "fatter than normal" by a former Under-20 boss.
Jose Sulantay said: “I saw him gone, I saw him out of physical shape, totally. He’s fatter than normal.
“Without his spark, he never left that Paraguayan defence behind.
"He never made a diagonal run, it was something else. It was not Alexis.
“This can bring you problems later, the statements of wanting to leave. The team-mates must have felt nothing for him.”
