Ex-England boss Roy Hodgson ‘keen to replace’ Frank de Boer if he gets the sack at Crystal Palace
Reports claim the 70-year-old has told friends he wants to take over Eagles hotseat and believes he still has one big job left in him
ROY HODGSON is reportedly interested in replacing Frank de Boer as Crystal Palace manager, according to the former England chief's friends.
Dutchman De Boer is set for further talks with Eagles chairman Steve Parish this week.
The 47-year-old is under considerable pressure after a miserable start to the season.
The former Ajax boss has lost all three Premier League matches since taking charge in the summer.
And his side have not even managed to find the net yet.
He could be axed this weekend if Palace lose at Burnley on Sunday, but he could depart before then depending on this week's crunch talks.
And the Daily Express claim that 70-year-old Hodgson wants to takeover if the opportunity arises.
As SunSport told you last week, the veteran believes he still has one more top-flight job in him.
He is also intent on proving his doubters wrong after his reign with the Three Lions ended with an embarrassing defeat against Iceland at Euro 2016.

Croydon-born Hodgson had a spell on the books at Palace as a youngster during his playing days.
And he would bring a wealth of experience to Selhurst Park if given the job.
Hodgson began his coaching career over 40 years ago and has taken charge of a number of sides and nations around the world.
He had a spell in charge of Inter Milan and also guided Fulham to the Europa League final in 2010.
He followed that up by going to Liverpool for a brief and disappointing spell before joining West Brom prior to getting the England job in 2012.
