Philippe Coutinho will ‘give everything’ for Liverpool this season despite failed Barcelona transfer, promises Brazil legend Ronaldinho
FORMER Barcelona star Ronaldinho insists Philippe Coutinho "will give everything" for Liverpool, despite being denied his dream move to the Nou Camp.
Coutinho was the subject of three bid failed bids from the Catalan giants, with the final one reported to be worth £138million.
The 25-year-old recovered from a back injury to inspire Brazil to victory over Ecuador and Ronaldinho is adamant Coutinho will give his all for his club.
Ronaldinho told the Daily Mirror: “This season they will see him give everything for the club - that is the sort of player he is.
"Also no player is going to refuse to play when it’s the World Cup at the end of the season.
“The Liverpool fans have nothing to worry about - I do not believe any of the stories about him refusing to play for the club. I know him that is not his way.”
Coutinho has not featured for his club this season due to a back injury.
However, Reds boss Jurgen Klopp is expected to include his wantaway star for Saturday’s crunch trip to the Etihad to face Manchester City.

Ronaldinho, who snubbed Manchester United to join Barca in 2003 believes it is a matter of when, not if, Coutinho completes his dream move to La Liga.
Ronaldinho added: “He made it clear that he wanted to join Barcelona this summer - he will be disappointed as it is a dream for players to want to play for Barcelona - but I am sure he will still get that chance.
“They made it clear how much they wanted him and I am sure that they will come back for him.”
