Brazil stars put club rivalries aside and double up on cost-saving measures in joint flight back after World Cup qualifiers

PHILIPPE COUTINHO, Roberto Firmino, Gabriel Jesus and Co share a private jet as they put their club rivalries aside in favour of saving some money.

But City midfielder Fernandinho posted a photo showing the Brazil stars smiling aboard the aircraft ahead of their crunch clash at the Etihad.

He was joined by team-mate Ederson. Chelsea's Willian was the odd man out of the seven because he does not belong to either club.

Brazil qualified for the 2018 World Cup in Russia back in March.

But they continued their decent form with a 2-0 home win over Ecuador coming before a 1-1 draw in Colombia last night.

City and Liverpool reached an agreement to get their key players back in time for Saturday's showdown.

The hired private jet flew the stars back from Barranquilla, Colombia, last night and arrived back in the UK this morning.

Coutinho scored against Ecuador and could make his league return having missed the start of the season with a back injury.

Although his transfer saga with Barcelona also probably contributed to the lack of playing time, with the Reds eventually holding firm over his move.

Colombia's Radamel Falcao cancelled out Willian's stunner - although a dog that ran out onto the pitch to stop a dangerous Brazil attack stole the show.

Neymar also shared a photo of himself travelling back with Paris Saint-Germain team-mates.

Among them was Dani Alves, Thiago Silva and Marquinhos.
