Dele Alli back at Tottenham training with a smile on his face after England shame as Spurs prepare for tricky away tie at Everton
Alli could be suspended for his middle finger gesture on international duty, but like new-signing Fernando Llorente, he was pleased to be back
DELE ALLI was back and with a smile on his face as Tottenham turned in for training today ahead of this weekend's clash away at Everton.
Alli made the headlines for all the wrong reasons on Monday night when he stuck his middle finger up during England's 2-1 victory at home to Slovakia.
Despite insisting it was done as a joke to his friend and former team-mate Kyle Walker, the 21-year-old could face a four-match ban from Fifa if they believe it was to the referee.
But the midfielder was full of beans in training today, and had that cheeky smile back on his face once again.
Also looking delighted to be going through the motions in Enfield was new signing Fernando Llorente.
The Spanish striker joined Spurs for £15million from Premier League rivals Swansea, signing a two-year contract.
Speaking to the club website, Pochettino was delighted with his summer acquisitions.
He said: “First of all we’re so happy with the players we’ve added before the end of the transfer window.

“We’re excited. Everyone brings quality to the team and help the team.
“It will be a long season with a lot of competitions and we need strength and competition. That can only benefit the team.
“It’s been difficult with the international break but now we have all the squad working together and we can start to build a strong team and strong mentality that we will need to compete for the whole season.”
And on Llorente, Pochettino added: "First of all, Fernando is a great professional.
"He’s a world champion who won the World Cup with Spain (in 2010) and that’s the mentality that can translate to us - that experience of winning big things.
"He scored 15 goals for Swansea last season and his character can fit very well in this team. He’s a perfect fit for us."
