MANCHESTER CITY host Liverpool on Saturday in the pick of this weekend's Premier League games.

The 12.30pm kick-off at the Etihad promises to be a thriller, with a host of superstars on display.

Both clubs reinforced heavily during the summer transfer market and are both unbeaten in three Premier League games so far.

But which, if any, of those new faces make our Manchester City-Liverpool combined XI? Find out below...

GOALKEEPER

Ederson

ARGUABLY the shakiest position in either club's ranks, Ederson marginally gets the nod here.

Up against the inconsistent Simon Mignolet and Loris Karius, the City new-boy was the logical choice... if for no other reason than he's not made too many errors, yet.

DEFENCE

IT'S the area City arguably bolstered the most over the summer, with THREE massive-money full-backs brought in.

Walker and Mendy - both one-time record signings - both start on the flanks, while team-mate Kompany starts in the middle.

He's joined by Liverpool's Matip - arguably a more stable option than John Stones, Nicolas Otamendi, Ragnar Klavan or Dejan Lovren.

HOLDING MIDFIELD

Jordan Henderson, Emre Can

IN the holding midfield ranks, it's Liverpool twosome Henderson and Can nailing down the starting berths.

The pair are a dynamic, all-around force in the centre of the park, full of running and both offensive and defensive ability.

They easily trump the likes of Fernandinho and Yaya Toure to the starting line-up.

ATTACKING MIDFIELD

Sadio Mane, Kevin De Bruyne, Philippe Coutinho

POTENTIALLY the toughest part of the starting XI to decide, TWO Liverpool men make it... Mane and Coutinho.

Mane beats the likes of Bernardo Silva and Leroy Sane to the right-wing spot after a phenomenal start to the 2017-18 season.

Coutinho - still in Liverpool exile - makes the left-wing, with De Bruyne nailing down the No10 spot.

STRIKER

Sergio Aguero

ANOTHER tough call with the likes of Gabriel Jesus and Roberto Firmino to contend with, but Aguero gets the nod here.

The Argentine forward would walk into any starting XI on the planet on form.

Teaming-up with Mane, De Bruyne and Coutinho in attack would be utterly terrifying for any defence.

MANAGER

Jurgen Klopp

GOING into Saturday's game, Klopp and Guardiola have squared up ten times.

The Liverpool boss has won five, the City chief just four, with a sole draw rounding off proceedings.

Based on that, Klopp gets the nod here... but which way will things go this Saturday?
