Referee Jon Moss appears to blank Jurgen Klopp’s offer of a handshake after Liverpool’s defeat to Manchester City
JURGEN KLOPP reached out his hand to Jon Moss after Liverpool's 5-0 defeat to Manchester City only to be seemingly blanked by the referee.
Moss was the at the helm of the controversial call that sent the Red's down to 10 men, a decision that Klopp visibly disagreed with.
Nevertheless, the Liverpool manager offered a handshake to the official after the final whistle.
He approached one of the assistants, Andy Halliday, first but as he moved towards Moss, the referee continued towards the tunnel.
Moss was made aware of the German's gesture but by the time he went to return the peace-offering, Klopp had already pulled his hand away in frustration and walked the other way.
The manager was already at the end of a short fuse after Liverpool took a beating from Pep Guardiola's side at the Etihad Stadium.
The biggest action of the match came just before half time when Moss pulled out his red card on Sadio Mane.
The forward struck the Man City keeper Ederson in the face with his boot as the players went in to challenge for the ball.

Klopp showed his anger at the call on the sideline as well as in comments to Sky Sports after the game, saying it was an "unlucky accident.
He said: "I don't think it was a red card, Sadio didn't see the goalkeeper."
"The keeper comes out, you want to go for the ball. I hope people see it for what it is."
Klopp credited Moss as the reason his team lost with four of the goals coming after his controversial decision.
