But just over two minutes into the game, the South Korean star suffered a total meltdown to gift Burnley the lead.
Sean Dyche's Clarets already netted a late equaliser away to Tottenham, while beating Chelsea in the first game of the season.
The Eagles now face an uphill battle to get anything out of the game as they become early relegation candidates.
