Burnley boss Sean Dyche confirms keeper Tom Heaton dislocated his shoulder against Crystal Palace
BURNLEY have been rocked by a huge injury blow to goalkeeper Tom Heaton.
The England international was forced off during the first half of the 1-0 victory over Crystal Palace on Sunday.
Heaton, 31, was able to walk from the field but his manager confirmed afterwards that they fear the worst.
Sean Dyche said the stopper has a suspected dislocated shoulder.
That is set to rule the star out for anything up to 16 weeks.
It usually takes between 12 and 16 weeks for a dislocated shoulder to fully heal.
And that could not only rule him out of the busy Premier League Christmas programme, but he now looks likely to miss out on an England call-up for next month's World Cup qualifiers against Slovenia and Lithuania.
That leaves the Clarets relying on rookie Nick Pope, who came off the bench to replace Heaton, to guard their net.
