Crystal Palace chairman Steve Parish savaged by supporters in Twitter spat with fans

Boss was responding to fans following Eagles' fourth defeat of the season to Burnley, but has said he will let people vent as the buck stops with him

STEVE PARISH was involved in a furious Twitter spat with irate Crystal Palace fans following the club's defeat to Burnley.

Eagles supremo Paris was responding to fans who shared both positive and negative thoughts on the club's current position, but was flabbergasted when one user called him an 'ignorant t****r' before they removed their tweet.

Palace's start to the season is officially the worst in Premier League history  having conceded seven goals and lost their first four games without scoring.

Lee Chung-yong's blunder today allowed Burnley to take advantage of the chance that was presented to them and put Crystal Palace firmly in the history books.

Sun Bets have already paid out on bets for Frank de Boer to be the first Premiership boss to be sacked this season, he only took over from Sam Allardyce in June.

The Dutchman has had ups and downs as a manager, only lasting 85 days at Inter Milan but having great success at Ajax.

But Parish has reiterated on social media that fans, players and staff must stick together; these sentiments were shared by injured Wilfried Zaha.

Although he has vowed to not respond to people when Crystal Palace lose, it hasn't stopped Parish declaring that he would stand his record up against any chairman the club have had in 118 years.

Parish even looked to goad some fans into trying to protest against him.

One Twitter user posted: "It is the year 2079, and Palace fans are still thanking Parish for saving the club 62 years ago."

And he replied: "Mate get some placards and a petition up. I'll stand my record up against any chairman we've had in 118 years."

Parish ended the argument with the message: "Anyway so much for not answering people when we lose.

"Tough spot this. Looking forward to turning it round Saturday. Up the Palace!"
