Frank De Boer’s five games in charge of Crystal Palace is the SHORTEST-ever managerial reign by a Premier League boss
FRANK DE BOER'S five games in charge of Crystal Palace was officially the SHORTEST-ever managerial reign.
The Dutchman, 47, beat Les Reed (seven games) to the crown, after failing to pick up a point or score a single goal in the league during his horrendous spell at Selhurst Park.
In fact, De Boer not only broke one record, he shattered another in becoming the ONLY manager to not see his side score a single Premier League goal during his time in the hot-seat.
The former Inter Milan boss - who lasted just 85 days in Italy - played four games in the Prem and one in the Carabao Cup.
Palace won that game 2-1 against Championship side Ipswich, but that alone is far from enough to see him keep his job.
They became the only team to ever lose all four games and fail to score.
De Boer now holds the honour of the shortest Premier League reign, beating the previous holder, Reed, who oversaw just seven games at Charlton in 2006.
