The hearing is tomorrow.

Brazilian goalie Ederson has since gone on to display the shocking extent of his injuries in a photo posted on social media - as well as in public.

His bloodied face shows approximately six stitches on his cheek and two more next to his left eye socket.

Ederson required eight minutes of treatment as he lay on the turf and was given oxygen while being carried off on a stretcher.

Liverpool have the option to appeal citing an excessive punishment.

The club will look to have his punishment downgraded to either one or two matches.

Senegal star Mane issued a heartfelt apology to Ederson via Facebook and wished his opponent a speedy recovery following their "accidental collision".

Mane posted: "I hope and wish Ederson a quick recovery.

"I am so sorry he was hurt during our accidental collision on the pitch and am sorry for him that he could not complete the match because of it."

Ederson's team-mate Claudio Bravo insisted Mane could have "easily avoided" the keeper.

The footballing world was split on whether or not Mane's decision warranted the straight red.

Manchester United legend Gary Neville said the ruling "spoiled" the game whereas brother Phil hailed Moss for his "good decision".

But there was further fury from Liverpool fans when Bournemouth's Matt Ritchie got just a yellow for a seemingly similar challenge on Swansea's Alfie Mawson.
