Benjamin Mendy trolled by Manchester City’s Twitter account after he’s nutmegged by Feyenoord player
Incident occurred right in front of Pep Guardiola during 4-0 demolition but Mendy pretended not to remember at first
MANCHESTER CITY have trolled Benjamin Mendy after the defender was nutmegged during the 4-0 win over Feyenoord.
City went into cruise control as they destroyed the Dutch side during their Champions League group stage clash in Rotterdam.
But despite the scoreline, Mendy could not escape the aftermath of the nutmeg which occurred right in front of boss Pep Guardiola.
He tweeted: “Sorry don’t know what nutmeg you are talking about guys.”
This prompted City’s official Twitter account to respond with a GIF showing the incident with a caption reading: “Think they mean this one, Ben.”
A red-faced Mendy then replied: “No more battery sorry. We are supposed to be in same club remember. What when I score the own goal everyone waits for.”
But Mendy got his own back later when he posted a picture of two-times goal scorer John Stones along with a caption trolling City strikers Sergio Aguero and Gabriel Jesus.
It read: “Gabriel who?? Sergio who?? Ahahaha my man is going to start as a striker soon I swear. #SharkTeam we keeping eating #CmonCity.”

Mendy joined City in July from Ligue 1 champs Monaco for £52million – a record for a defender.
He’s now made three appearances after bouncing back from an injury picked up at the end of last season.
And Mendy will now be hoping for more league glory while playing at the Etihad.
