IF Manchester United ever need another groundsman, then step forward Juan Mata.

The United playmaker was filmed driving a tractor around the Carrington training ground this week, and clearly had plenty in the tank to help the ground staff keep the pitches in immaculate condition.

Fellow Spaniard Ander Hererra posted the clip on social media as Mata looked to make a quick getaway at a commercial event on Thursday.

Mata was fooling around in a Yanmar tractor - the Japanese firm are the official tractor partner of the Premier League side.

The Yanmar partnership is just the latest in a long string of bizarre deals made with the football giants over the years.

The Spanish pair were in a playful mood 48 hours after United beating Basel in the opening group game of the Champions League game at Old Trafford.

Everton are the visitors to the Theatre of Dreams on Sunday, with all eyes on the returning Wayne Rooney.

The former United skipper returns to United after joining Everton in the summer with Romelu Lukaku going the other way for £75million.

And the Toffees will be desperate to bounce back after a shocking loss in Italy to Atalanta in the Europa League.

Herrera did not feature for Jose Mourinho's side in midweek, but is expected to be back in the side on Sunday to replace Paul Pogba who could be out for a month with a hamstring injury.

Mourinho will expect his side to get back to winning ways after dropping their first points of the season at Stoke last Saturday.

Everton were denied a win at Old Trafford in April by a late Zlatan Ibrahimovic penalty awarded when defender Ashley Williams handled Luke Shaw's goal bound shot.
