Tottenham transfer news: Mauricio Pochettino’s side join Newcastle and Crystal Palace in monitoring Besiktas ace Cenk Tosun

TOTTENHAM are reportedly monitoring the performances of Besiktas striker Cenk Tosun.
The 26-year-old has become a hot commodity over the past year and has a number of clubs interested in securing his services.
And now Spurs are plotting a swoop for the frontman, according to the Daily Mail.
Both Newcastle United and Crystal Palace have already attempted to bring the star to England.
The Premier League duo failed with bids at the end of last month's transfer window.
But now Turkish giants Besiktas are bracing themselves for more interest in the winter and have slapped a £17.5million valuation on his head.
Tosun did his burgeoning reputation no harm by capping an impressive display with a goal in last week's 3-1 win at Porto in the Champions League.
Despite scoring 27 goals to help his side win the title last season, Besiktas were willing to allow him to leave for around £12m in the summer.

But his performances so far this campaign have seen his value rocket again.
Discussing the interest from the Magpies and Eagles, Tosun told Turkish-Football: "Crystal Palace offered €13.5 million on transfer deadline day.
"Had they made the bid a week earlier I would be playing in the Premier League right now.
"I would only leave Besiktas if I made my club money and if the circumstances are right.
"Now I'm focused on winning my third consecutive league title, playing Champions League football and focusing on international football."
