Anfield of dreams

Liverpool become just the fourth club in Premier League history to reach 1,000 home points… but who are the others?

Reds' 1-1 draw with Burnley on Saturday took them to four-figure points at Anfield, behind three English footballing giants

LIVERPOOL slumped to yet another disappointing draw at home on Saturday.

Following up their 2-2 against Sevilla, in a game they utterly dominated, Jurgen Klopp and Co were at it again, taking 35 shots, but scoring just once against Burnley.

However, while dropping another two points will undoubtedly be disappointing for Reds fans, there is one small consolation.

In picking up the sole point at Anfield, Liverpool became only the fourth club in Premier League history to reach 1,000 points at their own ground.

The Reds reached four-figures in their 484th game, for an average of 2.1 points per game in front of their own fans.

Manchester United lead the way in terms of most Premier League points at home with a whopping 1,139.

Their performances at Old Trafford have seen them pick up an average of 2.4 points per encounter - having also played 484 games.

Arsenal's 483 home games have yielded an impressive 1,044 points for an average of 2.2 points per clash at both Highbury and the Emirates Stadium.

Meanwhile, Chelsea have the third-highest tally on 1,027 points from their 484 games at Stamford Bridge, for an average of 2.1 points per game.

Klopp's Liverpool started the season on 993 points at home, before getting the better of beleaguered Crystal Palace 1-0 in their first home game of the season.

The 4-0 demolition job of Arsenal took their tally to a tantalising 999 points, before Saturday's draw saw them hit the magic number.
