Tottenham and Liverpool enquire about Werder Bremen teen sensation David Philipp
Premier League duo hot on the tail of German ace who hit 18 goals and set-up 21 more last term for club's Under-17s
TOTTENHAM and Liverpool are competing for Werder Bremen's teen sensation David Philipp.
The attacking midfielder, 17, has won rave reviews for his performances with the Bundesliga club's junior sides.
And reports in Germany claim both Spurs and Reds officials have made enquiries about Philipp, who hit 18 goals and set up 21 more last term for Bremen's Under-17 side.
Promoted to their Under-19s this season, he has already scored twice and provided four assists.
Bremen academy director Bjorn Schierenbeck said: "I wouldn't want to rule out the interest in David from the English clubs.
"But I don't know exactly how firm it is. We would be very eager to continue working together with David.
"We have already held talks with him, and explained what his future career with Werder can look like."
Bremen are known for the quality of their academy's graduates.
