JURGEN KLOPP has defended Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain after his shocker of a Liverpool debut.
Reds tumbled out of the Carabao Cup after by blowing their chances at Leicester and losing 2-0.
And Ox was mercilessly mocked on social media for his display in the defeat.
But Klopp has backed his £35million man to come good.
Ahead of a second trip to the King Power this week, the Reds boss said: "It’s quite quick (the criticism).
"He had a few good situations and a few unlucky situations.
"He did really well in the moments he is trying to adapt to the style of play.
"I can imagine (the criticism). He didn’t make the best game in his life so people ask. But I’m not in doubt."
Reds had 35 attempts on goal but could not put Burnley away at Anfield last weekend.

They have conceded the first goal in their last four matches, leading to two draws and two defeats.
But Klopp reckons things are not as bad as some fans reckon.
He added: "It sounds like we have no points and are completely the worst team in the league.
"Yes we have problems, that is why we 'only' have eight points and not 15.

"We can make it more serious than it is or we can take it like it is.
"I understand 100 per cent (why) we sit here and talk about the things that have happened.
"I know already about all these problems - or 'not problems' - and I've made my decision already how to work with it."
