Marcus Rashford, Romelu Lukaku and Manchester United squad fly out for 3,200-mile Moscow round-trip
MANCHESTER UNITED began their 3,200-mile trip to Moscow for their Champions League clash with CSKA without two of their midfield stars.
Paul Pogba is out for an undisclosed period with a hamstring strain, while Marouane Fellaini has been forced to join the Frenchman on the sidelines.
That meant Scott McTominay was available to join Romelu Lukaku and Marcus Rashford on the flight from Manchester Airport.
United stars Ander Herrera, Juan Mata and Jesse Lingard also made the trip with Jose Mourinho.
The Red Devils are looking to maintain their strong start to Group A, after they beat FC Basel in the opening match of their Champions League campaign.
United won the match with a comfortable 3-0 scoreline, thanks to goals from Fellaini, Lukaku and Rashford.
But their opponents on Wedneday night, CSKA Moscow, are not to be underestimated, after the Russians beat Benfica 2-1 in Lisbon a fortnight ago.
Mourinho will also be happy with the news he will not face a further sanction from the FA after being sent away from the touchline during United's 1-0 win over Southampton on Saturday.

But the impressive Fellaini is a blow for the Portuguese, as he picked up an ankle knock on the South Coast after the big Belgian showed he can be a big part of Mourinho's plans with a strong start to the season for United.
Midfielder McTominay, 20, featured heavily during the club's pre-season campaign and played in the 4-1 win over Burton in the Carabao Cup last week.
The trip to Moscow is further complicated by the face that the club's arch rivals Liverpool are also in the Russian capital for a game against Spartak.
