SERGIO AGUERO is the only world-class forward in the Premier League.

It has been goals galore in the top flight this season with Aguero, Romelu Lukaku and Alvaro Morata all banging in six each in as many games.

While Tottenham star Harry Kane is on four after overcoming his August jinx.

But speaking on Sky's Monday Night Football ahead of Arsenal's 2-0 win over West Brom, SunSport columnist Henry said: "The only one who is world class or has been world class, is Aguero because of the longevity of what he has done in this league, year in and year out.

"He won the league here and he has been doing it the longest.

"You have to give him a bit of credit. I think sometimes we bypass Aguero like he didn’t happen."

Aguero, 29, will join Eric Brook as City's all-time top scorer with 177 goals should he net against Shakhtar Donetsk in the Champions League tonight.

The Argentine's last-minute goal against QPR in 2012 won his club their first ever Premier League, and he has gone on to contribute to one more league title and two league cups.

Henry believes the likes of Kane, Lukaku and Morata WILL make it to Aguero's level - but they still have some distance to go.

He added: "In the Premier League, internationally, in the Champions League, how many times, how many years – that is what we are talking about.

"Lukaku has just arrived at Man United, he hasn’t played long in the Champions League.

Power Serg

Sergio Aguero records:

  • Needs to find the net twice more to break Eric Brook's record haul of 177 Manchester City goals
  • Leading non-European Premier League scorer with 128 goals
  • His 23 goals in 2011-12 season won Man City their first Premier League, with dramatic QPR strike sealing it
  • Fifa Under-20 Golden shoe: 2007
  • Premier League Golden Boot: 2014-15

"For Harry Kane, last season was short in the Champions League. It was short in the Europa League and the Euros.

"Morata was often off the bench at Madrid. He had a good year at Juve but he was playing with Llorente or Tevez.

"They will get there and we should be happy to have these players in our league."
