Manchester United should sign Barcelona’s ex-Liverpool star Luis Suarez, insists Gary Neville

MANCHESTER UNITED should try and sign former Liverpool striker Luis Suarez, says club legend Gary Neville.

Despite Jose Mourinho's side making a flying start to the Premier League, they have 16 points from their first six games and are unbeaten, Neville would love one more addition.

Speaking to Stretty News TV, Neville, who currently works for Sky Sports, said: "Suarez, even though he played for Liverpool, is a United player.

“It’s arrogance to say that but he’s fantastic. He scores goals, he’s aggressive, he chases every ball down.”

It's not known how well his comments will go down with the United faithful, as they have a fierce rivalry with their big city rivals Liverpool.

Suarez played 110 games for the Merseysiders, netting 69 goals in a three-year stint.

United are currently in Russia as they look for a fifth-straight victory in all competitions as they take on CSKA Moscow in the Champions League.

Paul Pogba remains injured, as do long-term pair Marcos Rojo and Zlatan Ibrahimovic.

With a hectic schedule through late September and into October, Mourinho may give Ander Herrera and Anthony Martial starts.

Jose Mourinho's side look to have gelled into a cohesive attacking unit and have 14 goals in their last five games.

They breezed past Basel at Old Trafford, with goals from Marouane Fellaini, Romelu Lukaku and Marcus Rashford wrapping up a simple 3-0 victory.
