Tottenham boss Mauricio Pochettino confirms Mousa Dembele has ‘no chance’ of playing against Huddersfield due to his ongoing foot injury
TOTTENHAM boss Mauricio Pochettino has confirmed Mousa Dembele has "no chance" of playing against Huddersfield due to his ongoing foot injury.
The Belgian midfielder, 30, hasn't played since the 1-0 win over Barnsley in the EFL Cup on September 19.
Pochettino then claimed Dembele would not be able to take on the Terriers in Saturday's opening Premier League game at the John Smith's Stadium.
The Argentine boss revealed: "It's impossible for him to play.
"We hope that it's not a big problem but he needs time to recover.
"I don't know how long he will be out for and we need more information from the doctor.
"We will see what happens in the next few weeks."
The good news for Tottenham is that Harry Kane looked in fine form during Thursday's training session.
