Argentine striker will be out for two to four weeks with broken ribs and is definitely sitting out of Chelsea clash

MANCHESTER CITY hope Sergio Aguero will miss just one game after his Amsterdam car crash.

The Argentine striker, 29, will be out for two to four weeks with broken ribs and is definitely unavailable to face Chelsea tomorrow.

But due to the international break Aguero may be fit to face Stoke on October 14 in the best-case scenario.

If he is out for four weeks, however, City's top scorer will be unavailable to face Napoli, Burnley, Wolves and West Brom.

After returning to Manchester, Aguero tweeted to let his fans know he was alright and confirm he broke a rib.

The superstar said: "I'm home in Manchester after an exam by club Drs. It's a broken rib. Hurts, but I'm fine, fully focused on recovery. Thank you all!"

Aguero was saved by his seat belt when the Crysler PT Cruiser he was being driven in to the airport careered into a post.

Despite facing and reigning Premier League champions Chelsea at the weekend, the City ace went to see Colombian pop star Maluma in Holland.

But Guardiola insisted he had no problem with Aguero being in Amsterdam on his day off.

"A day off is to be happy," he said. "I am a trainer who doesn't want to train every day because they (the players) need to rest, mentally and physically."

Before the show Aguero sent a social media post out saying thanks for the invitation complete with a photo of himself and the singer

He later tweeted a series of messages explaining the crash, saying: "The taxi I was riding made a wrong turn and crashed against a pole.

"It was a very heavy slam but seatbelts prevented it from being worse.

"Thank you with all my heart for the supportive messages, they really do help me in recovering.

"I'd like to thank the staff of the VU University Medical Amsterdam for their care and support. Hats off to all their team."
