Manchester United told Sarpsborg kid Krepin Diatta is ‘not ready’ to move to Old Trafford

MANCHESTER UNITED target Krepin Diatta is “not ready” to move to Old Trafford, according to his representatives.

Red Devils boss Jose Mourinho is a big fan of the Senegalese whizkid and United scouts have watched him play on several occasions over the last 18 months.

But people close to the Sarpsborg midfielder have talked down a move, insisting he is only interested in playing football.

Speaking to FootMercato, they said: “The objective for now is to play.

“I don’t think he’s ready for a big European club. You need to go through the steps methodically.”

Diatta, 18, has made 16 appearances in the Norwegian Tippeligaen this season, scoring two goals.

He admitted it would be a “dream” to move to United after talent-spotters assessed him in last month’s 2-1 over Odd.

He told local station TV2: “I didn’t know they scouted me today, but to join them would be a dream come true.
