THIBAUT COURTOIS' unusual pre-match ritual has been discovered - and it's all rather touchy feely.
A video has emerged showing how the goalkeeper touches his chin during the national anthem for his country Belgium.
While Paul Ince used to stand in the tunnel bare-chested and put his shirt on as he was coming out, and Kolo Toure ensured he was the last man out, Courtois' is somewhat more subtle.
And yet when you watch footage of the pre-game, it all appears rather strange.
The camera pans down the players as they line up while La Brabanconne, the Belgian national anthem, is being played out Courtois moves his hand up to his chiselled jaw.
Sometimes it's with his left hand, sometimes with his right. Sometimes it's a careful caress with his fingers, other occasions it's a brush across of the thumb.
Either way, it's possible the Chelsea custodian has been doing the same ritual before every one of the 51 games he has appeared in for his country.
What is now for certain, fans may be paying extra attention for when the players line up to sing their hearts out for Belgium.
