Leicester were given a extension to get the deal done but the Portugal international's registration was denied by world football's governing body.

But after appealing to football's highest body along with the FA, they have had their case thrown out.

It means Leicester will have to pay the wages of a player they cannot play until the registration window re-opens in January.

A statement from Fifa read: "The petition made by the Football Association for permission to request the International Transfer Certificate for the player Adrien Silva and subsequently register the player for its affiliated club, Leicester City FC, is rejected."

Sunsport revealed how the 28-year-old IS allowed to train at the club's base, but can only watch his team-mates put through their paces though a WINDOW.

Foxes boss Craig Shakespeare revealed: “He is okay but he has his little moments of course.

“Coach can I come outside?” he asks. ‘Just look through the window,’ I reply.

“Being able to train (in the gym) is keeping him in and around it. But we also know that legally we have to do what is right as well.”
