The Everton central defender accidentally broke the lens from a photographer's camera at St George's Park.

Keane was taking part in a medicine ball exercise with the World Cup squad when he inadvertently caused £10,000 worth of damage.

He launched the heavy object into a pack of photographers - with disastrous results.

Oli Greenwood from AFP was his victim, the medicine ball dislodging his camera and smashing the expensive lens.

The FA were quick to help the cameraman, insisting they would foot the bill for the broken equipment.

No doubt boss Gareth Southgate told Keane to be more careful with his distribution when he faces Slovenia on Thursday.

As an embarrassed Keane apologised profusely, Marcus Rashford held his head in his hands in disbelief.

Like the gentleman he undoubtedly is, Keane did seek Greenwood out after the training session.

It was a chance to talk things through.

England were getting in trim for the World Cup qualifier with Slovenia at Wembley.
