Crystal Palace and Fulham interested in 18-year-old non league star Lex Allan
Giant 6ft 7in defender has been training with Millwall after his manager admitted there's clubs looking at him "left, right and centre".
CRYSTAL PALACE are ready to take a gamble on non-league star Lex Allan.
The Sittingbourne defender is attracting interest from Fulham and is currently training with Millwall.
At the age of 18, the giant 6ft 7in towering centre-back is set for a bright future in the game.
Manchester United defender Chris Smalling also rose to the top after being scouted whilst playing for non-league side Maidstone United.
And Palace are hoping Allan, who is in his first season of senior football, will be able to do the same.
Sittingbourne boss Nick Davis has already admitted plenty of scouts are paying close attention.
Speaking to Kent Online, he said: "He’s got clubs left, right and centre looking at him.
“He was at Millwall again last week, Palace have said they want him to train with them and Fulham have also enquired.
“There was also a scout from Birmingham at our League Cup game against Ramsgate last Tuesday but we didn’t play Lex that night."
Allan could follow in Smalling's footsteps if he opts to join Fulham.
The England international joined the Craven Cottage side for a measly £10,000 in 2008.
He then landed a dream move to Manchester United 18 months later.
