Man Utd star Victor Lindelof insists Jose Mourinho dialogue is ‘good’ and there’s ‘no stress’ over lack of impact
Defender joined United from Benfica for £30m during the summer transfer window but hasn't started in the league
VICTOR LINDELOF insists there are no issues between him and Jose Mourinho despite his lack of appearances for Manchester United this season.
The Sweden international joined from Benfica for a whopping £30million but is yet to make an appearance in the Premier League.
Lindelof has also been limited to just three appearances across the Champions League and Carabao Cup.
And it appears Mourinho does not yet trust the 23-year-old enough to have him partner Eric Bailly in defence.
However, Henrikh Mkhitaryan underwent a similar process when he joined the Red Devils over a year ago.
Mourinho felt the Armenian needed time to adjust to the demands of life in England.
And Mkhitaryan is now a key man at United, which Lindelof is sure to draw strength from.
But the youngster is adamant that he’s not upset with life at his new home, insisting it’s all part and parcel of playing in the best league in the world.
Lindelof told Expressen: “I feel no stress. I’m in one of the world’s best clubs, it’s clear that it’s tough competition. But it may have the time it takes.
“[Talks with Mourinho?] It’s between me and him. But we talk and have a good dialogue.”
