Neymar, who shattered the world-record transfer fee at £198million this summer, is keen to link up with fellow South American star Sanchez, say Le Parisien.
Since leaving Barcelona, Neymar has linked up with Cavani and Kylian Mbappe to form arguably the most-feared strike force on the planet.
Yet PSG chiefs are now considering ditching Cavani and bringing in Sanchez in order to keep Neymar sweet.
The Parisien club also need to balance the books in order to avoid being in breach of Financial Fair Play regulations, which could see Cavani the man to go.
In any potential deal with Arsenal for Sanchez, PSG are likely to include Julian Draxler - in order to tempt the Gunners and offload another high-earning star.
However, should the French club wait until next summer, they would be able to land Sanchez on a free - as his contract runs out at the end of the current season.
PSG would be able to open talks with the Chilean ace as early as January.
The club have been working on a deal for Sanchez since last summer.

But they decided to focus their efforts on a blockbuster move for Mbappe, to back-up their incredible world-record swoop for Neymar.
Earlier this season, the Brazilian fumed he had to step aside for regular spot-kick taker Cavani during the 2-0 win over Lyon.
Both came to blows and reports have since suggested Neymar wants his Uruguayan team-mate SOLD after the missed penalty.
The £198million man later unfollowed Cavani on Instagram - only fanning the flames of the tempestuous relationship.
