Arsenal transfer news: Lucas Moura urged to join Gunners as PSG chase Alexis Sanchez

Brazilian playmaker has been left in the cold and ex-Chelsea star Alex believes Londoners will suit him more

LUCAS MOURA has been urged to join Arsenal after being left in the cold by Paris Saint-Germain.

The Brazil playmaker, 25, was dislodged by international team-mate Neymar, with Edinson Cavani's position also under threat following the world-record signing.

And with Alexis Sanchez being considered as a potential replacement for Cavani, Moura could complete the South American merry-go-round by moving to the Gunners.

Former Chelsea defender Alex is advocating the move as he feels his fellow Brazilian is the perfect fit at the Emirates.

He told L'Equipe: "I would like to see him at Arsenal. They play cleaner football, more technical.

"He had contacts, I believe. That would be a good option for him this winter."

Sanchez, 28, is in the final year of his Gunners deal and has made it clear he will not be signing a new one.

And PSG are are convinced his friendship with former Barcelona team-mate Neymar will them seal a free transfer next summer.

The Parisians' hopes of adding Sanchez to their ranks went on the back burner when they took Kylian Mbappe on loan with a guaranteed £162m transfer fee next year.

But now PSG believe they can get around their FFP problem by selling Cavani and bringing in Sanchez for nothing.
