Manchester United transfer news: Jose Mourinho set to go back in for Ivan Perisic next summer with Inter Milan star having ‘£54m release clause’
MANCHESTER UNITED are reportedly planning a £54million Ivan Perisic swoop next summer.
The winger, 28, signed a new Inter Milan deal when Old Trafford chiefs failed to agree terms in the last window.
But Gazzetta dello Sport claims he had a release clause written in to the contract which can be activated at the end of the season.
Jose Mourinho is a big fan of Perisic, who is an ideal fit for the style he wants to play.
United want to present Romelu Lukaku with plenty of chances and the Croatia star is an expert at whipping in crosses.
But with the towering Belgian already banging in the goals, Mourinho may decide he does not need the Inter playmaker.
