De Bruyne even went as far as saying it was the worst pitch he'd played on in 20 years.

The Man City ace said: "I was worried I'd get injured.

"This was unacceptable. I don't understand how we could play on such a pitch.

"Last time I played on such a bad pitch was when I was a seven-year-old kid."

Meanwhile, Manchester United will be sweating over Marouane Fellaini after the midfielder limped off for Belgium during the game.

Fellaini had to be substituted in the 29th minute of the Group H clash.

The ex-Everton ace was replaced by Leander Dendoncker in the middle of the park after receiving treatment on his knee.

To make matters worse for Belgium, Haris Medunjanin equalised for the home side just 40 seconds after he left the field, following Thomas Meunier's opener.
