Stoke striker Peter Crouch finally recognised for his worldie ability as he enters Guinness World Records
PETER CROUCH is living proof that good things come to those who wait.
The towering striker will be in the 2018 edition of the Guinness World Records for scoring the most headed goals in the Premier League.
Crouch passed Newcastle legend Alan Shearer's total of 46 in May 2015 and has gone on to reach 51.
And after passing the milestone, the 36-year-old - who famously claimed he would be a virgin if he was not a footballer - cast his views on modern football.
He said: “I see centre forwards hanging around outside the box and it blows my mind, I just can’t get my head around it.
“I believe, if you are a centre forward, you should be in the box, ready for the ball. That’s the way I have always played my game and that will never change.
"IThe record feels good! To hold any record, certainly in the Premier League, is great. I’m very proud of it.
“I believe it ended too soon, but that’s football, it’s a game of opinions. I had a great run, I loved it.
"I was part of every squad for five years in a period where I think we had our best team since ’66 and really should have won something."
Another England ace to make the cut is Dele Alli for his eight nutmegs in one minute.
