Everton considering swoop for Sporting Lisbon ace Bas Dost after missing out on Olivier Giroud

EVERTON are reportedly lining up a move for Sporting Lisbon star Bas Dost after missing out on Olivier Giroud.
The Toffees are currently 16th in the league after scoring just four goals in their opening seven matches despite spending £150million.
And according to ESPN, Ronald Koeman is ready to splash out on his fellow Dutchman to bolster his attack.
Everton director of football Steve Walsh watched Dost in action during Sporting's Champions League defeat to Barcelona last month.
Dost, who is 6ft 5", is seen as the ideal target man to help the Merseyside club to get their season back on track.
The 28-year-old moved to Sporting from Wolfsburg in the summer of 2016 and has scored 36 goals in 41 games for the club.
Everton have struggled to replace Romelu Lukaku after selling him for £90million to Manchester United in the summer.
Koeman failed in his attempted to lure Giroud from Arsenal and have now turned his attention elsewhere.
The Toffees did bring in Wayne Rooney and Sandro Ramirez but they have both failed to fill the big Belgian's boots.
Koeman brought in the likes of Gylfi Sigurdsson, Michael Keane, Jordan Pickford and Davy Klaassen in mega-money deals as well.

But he could be forced back into the market in January if their form does not drastically pick up.
Koeman has reportedly been given until the end of the month to turn things around or face the swing of the axe.
Before October comes to an end, Everton will go up against Brighton, Lyon, Arsenal, Chelsea and Leicester in the Premier League, Europa League and EFL Cup.
Koeman told De Telegraaf he is "calm" despite the pressure, saying: "I also accept that everyone is entitled to his opinion.
"And as a coach I don’t run away from criticism.
"We know within Everton that we currently play under our level and that the results should be better.
