Sergio Aguero training with Manchester City just days following horror car crash left him with rib injury
SERGIO AGUERO is back training with Manchester City just weeks after breaking a rib in a car crash.
The striker’s Amsterdam taxi hit a pole while he was being whisked from a concert to a private jet on his day off at the end of September.
There were fears the master Man City finisher might be set for a lengthy spell on the sidelines but he already looks close to a return.
Aguero has already scored seven goals and provided three assists in all competitions, moving to within just one goal of Eric Brook's all-time City scoring record of 177.
Days after the smash the Argentina team doctor Donato Villani painted a bleak picture for the ex-Atletico Madrid man.
He said: “Sergio is in a very bad way emotionally, as he was very eager to come over and play for the national side.
“He can't move around his house, or get in and out of a car. The truth is that he feels very bad, as he wanted to be with us.
"He was not at all to blame for the accident, but it has put him out of our two qualifiers. He won't be able to play for a month and a half."

But the man himself played down his injuries and thanked the medical staff who swung into action.
Aguero said: "The taxi I was riding in made a wrong turn and crashed against a pole.
"It was a very heavy slam but seatbelts prevented it from being worse.
"Thank you with all my heart for the supportive messages, they really do help me in recovering.
"I'd like to thank the staff of the VU University Medical Amsterdam for their care and support. Hats off to all their team."
And Pep Guardiola had no problems with his star striker getting himself in trouble in a foreign country just hours before his side faced Chelsea.
Guardiola said: “It was a day off, not a problem. I’ve not spoken to him, I was busy preparing.
"I’ll speak this afternoon with him. But I know he’s ok and we hope he will recover as soon as possible.
"He cannot play tomorrow. He cannot go with Argentina. I don’t know until he sees the doctor, but the first impression is that he’s broken the rib but how many days he’ll be out, I don’t know."
