Liverpool transfer news: Newcastle United plotting January loan move for Reds striker Danny Ings
NEWCASTLE UNITED are reportedly plotting a loan move for Liverpool striker Danny Ings.
The forward has endured a difficult few years since making his England debut shortly after his arrival at Anfield in 2015.
Ex-Burnley star Ings has suffered a succession of knee injuries on Merseyside and has only made one appearances this season from the bench.
And now the Shields Gazette are claiming that the Mgpies are ready to offer him the opportunity to play in January.
Ings, 25, insisted last week that he was not looking to move away for Liverpool.
He said: "Everywhere I have been, I have always found a way to make it happen.
"I have been in a lot of tough situations at previous clubs where it's been hard to break in.
"People from the outside looking in will probably have the assumption 'oh, he's the forgotten man', but it has not crossed my mind at all.
"I still believe in myself. I still believe I can play in this team.
"When you are at a club like Liverpool, it is not a club that you want to walk away from.

"It would grate on me for the rest of my career, and the rest of my life, if I had not done everything to give it my all.
"I still feel like I have a big part to play in this football club."
However, a temporary switch until the end of the season could benefit the forward.
Newcastle boss Rafa Benitez is desperate to bolster his strike-force as he aims to keep the Magpies up in the Premier League.
And a move to Tyneside could benefit both sides as Ings looks to prove his form and fitness to his Reds manager Jurgen Klopp.
