Arsenal latest news: Mesut Ozil’s agent says star wants to stay in England for the next ‘two to three years’
MESUT OZIL'S agent has revealed that he wants to stay in England for the next "two to three years" after "positive" talks with Arsenal.
The German star is out of contract at the Emirates next summer and could potentially leave on a free.
Manchester United have been linked with a move for the winger with the 28-year-old still yet to agree a deal.
Turkish giants Besiktas have also been linked with a move for the former Real Madrid.
However, his representative Erkut Sogut has revealed his client wants to stay in the Premier League.
And despite interest from elsewhere, he revealed the 2014 World Cup winner could remain in North London.
He told Fanatik: "Mesut is glad to hear of Besiktas being interested in him, however, no proposal has reached us.
"Even if that did happen, he wants to play in the Premier League for at least two to three more years.
"Our contact with Arsenal continues and we are moving in a positive direction."
Ozil is currently out of Arsene Wenger's side and faces a fight to get back into the team for the trip to Watford on Saturday afternoon.
