West Brom news: Former Baggies ace Yassine El Ghanassy has £100,000 Porsche seized after 14th driving offence
A FORMER Premier League player has had his £100,000 Porsche seized after committing his 14th driving offence.
Ex-West Brom winger Yassine El Ghanassy will now need to be chauffeur driven to training at Nantes after a court took away his licence.
El Ghanassy, 27, failed to appear at court in Bruges for the hearing today or even send a lawyer to speak in his defence.
The Belgium international, who now plays in France, was caught in his Porsche Carrera 4 doing 66mph in a 30mph zone in Ostend in September 2016.
The court was told El Ghanassy had driven the supercar after losing his licence, and that he previously had 13 convictions for motoring offences.
The judge said: "Because of his lack of defence and his previous convictions, I order his car to be confiscated."
He was also fined £6,000 and banned from driving for nine months.
Additionally, he was also ordered to provide medical and psychological reports before being allowed back behind the wheel.
Prem side West Brom signed the ace on-loan from Gent back in 2012.
However, he only made three appearances and scored once before he joined Heerenveen in January 2013.
