Liverpool vs Manchester United: Jose Mourinho goads Reds fans ahead of Anfield clash
Mourinho says his players will love the red-hot atmosphere
JOSE MOURINHO has told Liverpool fans to ‘bring it on’ as they enter the cauldron of Anfield tomorrow for the biggest clash in the Premier League.
The famous old ground is well known for its atmosphere but gets cranked up another two notches when bitter historical rivals Manchester United are the visitors.
But far from finding it intimidating, Mourinho says he and his players will love it.
Mourinho said: “This is quite funny for me when people speak about big atmospheres it looks like we don't like it and it's a problem for us to go to a certain place.
“This is what we want.
“I am surprised when I hear former big players speak about atmospheres like something sinister.

“It motivates us, if we could have every match like that we would have every match like that.
“We are speaking about Anfield in this case, like it's a big problem, it's a satisfaction, it's what we want, I never see a player complain ‘this atmosphere is very strong’.

“When we play at home and don't see a big enthusiasm with the people, we complain.
“We go to play against a big team with a great tradition in an amazing stadium, we know the fans have a huge animosity against Manchester United historically, this is what we want.
“We have these beautiful conditions, it's beautiful to play at Anfield.”
United go there joint top of the table on points with Manchester City while Liverpool lie in seventh.
Mourinho thinks that is a false position for Jurgen Klopp’s side.
He said: “I don't put Liverpool as a team that is in this moment in the middle of the table because they are not going to be there at the end of the season, I look at the quality of their team.
“It's a very difficult match for us and them.”
