Manchester City latest news: Sergio Aguero to have late fitness test ahead of Premier League comeback after car crash
PEP GUARDIOLA will give Sergio Aguero until the last moment to complete his miracle return on Saturday.
The Argentine feared he could be set for a long spell on the sidelines after breaking a rib in a car accident two weeks ago.
However he has made excellent progress and returned to training with his Manchester City team-mates ahead of schedule on Tuesday.
Guardiola will assess Aguero's fitness again in the build up to the game against Stoke before making a final decision.
The City boss said: "He did his first training session after what happened, and he did it quite well.
"Hopefully as soon as possible he'll be back.
"Maybe on Saturday - we'll see in the last training session. He's not 100 per cent.
"It wasn't as dangerous as it could have been.
"He explained what happened, you think what might have happened but we are back to normal and we are happy about that."
Yet skipper Vincent Kompany still remains sidelined with the calf injury he suffered during the last international break.
