Manchester United flop Memphis Depay puts Old Trafford misery behind him as he targets Real Madrid move
MEMPHIS DEPAY has shrugged off his Manchester United flop and sets his sights on playing for Real Madrid.
The Dutchman quit Old Trafford for Lyon in January after struggling to make an impression despite sky-high expectations.
And despite having a £35million buy-back fee written in to his contract, the ex-PSV star is looking elsewhere.
Depay, 23, told PSV Supporters: "I think I'm going to Real Madrid. Yes, that is a serious goal.
"When the time will come? That only God knows. He helps me and takes me there."
Pacey forward Depay showed glimpses of quality for United, particularly in Europe.

After sanctioning the £21.7m departure, the Special One said: “We wish he plays well at Lyon and comes back because everyone here likes him.
“Potentially he is still a very good player. Mr Van Gaal and Manchester United did well to buy him.
“He knew him from the national team. He was very young in the World Cup and had flashes of top quality.
“He did not succeed in the 18 months he was here but I think it is very important for the club to keep control of his talent."
Depay has two goals and three assists in seven league games so far this season and was also on target of Holland against Belarus.
