David De Gea hailed for his world class save from Joel Matip as Twitter hails him the best on the planet
DAVID DE GEA was hailed as the best goalkeeper in the world after a stunning save to deny Liverpool the lead against Manchester United.
Jurgen Klopp's side looked destined to open the scoring when Roberto Firmino's cross from the left reached Joel Matip just six yards out.
But the defender was denied by the stunning reflexes of United keeper De Gea who somehow stuck out a leg to stop the ball nestling into the back of the net.
Commentating, Gary Neville said: "That is a world class save, that is an amazing save."
Former Manchester United keeper Peter Schmeichel took to Twitter to show his appreciation - as did other fans who were in no doubt De Gea is the best in the business."
And former Liverpool boss Graeme Souness said: "This is a fantastic save, it doesn't have to all be with your hands.
